My thoughts regarding Twilight

"Twilight is comparable to a chocolate turtle. She is covered with a rich layer of bitter sweet character, and is filled with golden caramel, but you have to look out for the nuttiness in her."

Welcome to the Twilight Zone

My grandparents say that the first four words I spoke were as follows; dada, momma, capitol, and horse. I was infatuated with horses from a young age, and never grew out of it. One of my life goals was to own a horse, and when I turned 15 I made my dream come true and purchased my horse Twilight. In appearance Twilight looks like a beautiful black bay mare who has Saddlebred, Shire and Thoroughbred breeding, but she is so much more than that. Behind her brown eyes is a crazy stubborn , fiery, wild black lassie. . . whom I adore and consider to be my soul mate. This is a blog all about Twilight and how she has altered my life for the better. . .more or less. Welcome to the Twilight Zone!

The Beginning

I have been infatuated with horses for as long as I can remember. I treasure the memory of when I was small and first placed on a horses back. It was exhilarating, the horse was worn by age and had a stumbling walk, but to me he was a fiery steed worthy of a gallant knight. I sold my soul to horses then and there and I have rarely, fleetingly thought of getting it back.

Horses were my inspiration for starting this blog. One horse in particular, my own. Twilight and I have been together for over a year now and have had several . . .adventures together. I had not realized how far we had come from or first encounter to the wonderful pedestal we are standing upon now till I started revisiting memories. Some of the memories already have holes of forgetfulness in them, like the exact date of when Twilight officially became mine. In order to prevent the wear and tear of time from damaging my memories any further I started this blog. I hope that my lazy and forgetful nature will be ramified once I start writing and people start reading. I do not want to forget the sites and experiences I have shared with my horse and my friends during this time of my life.

The need to preserve my memories is not the only reason I have started this blog. I am also trying to find the missing links in my horse's past. I would love to find her dame and sire her past owners, old photos of her as a spry and gangly filly. Just her story the history I don't know. I have this burning curiosity that needs to be quench and can only take me so far. I'm hoping that some one out there in the world wide web will recognize some of my pictures of Twilight and contact me about her past. That of course depends on my future wonderful and patient readers (because I know you will have to have both these traits to suffer through my endless thought tangents and writing ability). Thank you for your time and please enjoy My Horse Tale
